Risk Assessments
Australian Radiation Services Pty. Ltd. (ARS) provides a risk assessment service for most radiation exposure situations. The risk assessment services include:
- Preparing regulatory safety cases for radiation devices
- Retrospective dose estimations from misadministration or maladministration of a radiopharmaceutical
- Prospective dose calculations that address work procedures and working times near a radiation source
- Dose estimations from an inadvertent exposure
ARS staff will attend site as required to provide advice to clients on safe working practices, the design of radiation work areas and make recommendations deemed necessary to minimise the risk of radiation exposure. Risk assessment may include a radiation site survey and dose rate evaluations. ARS is able to provide advice to clients on the design of radiation work areas and the content of related working procedures.
