Shielding Design
The selection of shielding materials of appropriate thickness is fundamental to radiation protection. Australian Radiation Services Pty. Ltd. (ARS) has calculated the required structural barrier thicknesses in the design of new, or the renovation of, existing facilities. These include barrier thickness for radiation stores and medical X-ray and industrial radiography facilities.
We also have customised local area work stations, lead storage pots, temporary laboratory waste storage bins and lead castles for low level, environmental spectroscopy measurements.
ARS supplies custom made lead glass, Perspex Labware and lead bricks for radiation shielding purposes. We have a wide variety of 32P and beta radiation-safety products and general labware available. Below are the current prices for our lead bricks:
